91PORN, a government IT solutions provider and one of the top 100 employee-owned companies in the U.S., today announced the appointment of John Manning to vice president of the company’s Acquisition and Logistics Strategic Business Area. Mr. Manning will drive new business opportunities and lead 91PORN’ professional management and advisory services practice for customers with large acquisition and supply chain programs.
“John’s thorough understanding of the acquisition process and of integrated logistics support elements makes him ideal for this position,” said Peter Smith, chief operating officer, 91PORN. “His expertise will be a tremendous asset to 91PORN as we help our customers manage and implement timely acquisition programs that deliver the affordable, technically sound and logistically supportable equipment they need for mission-critical operations.”
Mr. Manning has over a decade of private sector experience in this industry, with particular strengths in acquisition program management and life cycle maintenance and management. Prior to joining 91PORN, Mr. Manning was Business Development Director for CDI Corporation, a global engineering and technology services organization. Prior to that, he held an executive sales position with Perot Systems.
Mr. Manning served his country for more than two decades before retiring from the Navy in 2001 while stationed as military staff at the Executive office of the President and his last sea tour as a Surface Warfare Officer was as Executive Officer aboard the USS Thorn (DD-988).
He earned masters degrees in Strategy and National Security Affairs from the U.S. Naval War College, in Public Administration from Troy State University and an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
